Itinerary of the trip

The perfect place to start a trip in Scotland is in it’s cosmopolitan capital, Edinburgh. First we recommend a visit to the striking Edinburgh Castle which of the city’s Old Town. From its ramparts you will have an unbeatable view of the New Town, an architectural jewel of neoclassical and Georgian style that extends from the Gardens of Princes Street. For art lovers we recommend the National Gallery which houses Scotland's most important collection of paintings and sculptures. It’s easy to find nature and adventure in the city too by strolling up Arthur's Seat, the hill in Holyrood Park, or simply walking alongside the Water of Leith, the winding river that runs through the city.
First stop of the day is at the gateway to Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the famous Doune Castle. This fortress was the inspiration behind Stark House (Winter Palace) in the Game of Thrones series. Outlander fans will also recognise the castle's interior from the series. Carrying on today’s route you will border the Trossachs in the north, where you can discover the rapids of River Dochart as it passes through Killin. Your next stop along the way will be the ruins of Kilchurn Castle next to Lake Awe the onwards to Oban, a small fishing village known for the quality of its seafood for an overnight stay.
The lovers of malt whiskey can discover the best kept secrets of the production of the so called “Water of Life” in the distillery of Oban. Then heading eastwards, the first will be the picturesque village of Inveraray with its white houses and idyllic castle. Then you will return to Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, where you can prepare a picnic and take a walk on the banks of Loch Lomond. Before returning to Edinburgh we advise you to make a stop in Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland treasures a fascinating history and is always a hive of culture and tradition.
End of services.
